Album Review

When the mix worked right, it was almost magical. Into the blend went the sinuous blues-folk guitar picking interplay of Bert Jansch and John Renbourn, the bell-like voice of Jaqui McShee and the jazzy rhythm section of Tony Cox and Danny Thompson. This double album is a fine cross-section of what this very enjoyable group had to offer, including a healthy shot of live performances. "Sweet Child," "Sally Go Round the Roses" and "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" are only three of the many highlights. The inclusion of "Train Song" would have elevated this compilation to near-perfection.
