Universal’s 2010 collection
Icon 2 doubles the length of its cousin Icon, adding another 12 tracks and another disc to the 12-track original. The sequencing is roughly the same for the first disc, but after “Maybe Tomorrow,” “Sugar Daddy” is added to the mix, and the disc digs deeper on solo cuts from both
Michael (“Rockin’ Robin,” “With a Child’s Heart,” “Just a Little Bit of You,” “One Day In Your Life”) and
Jermaine ( “That’s How Love Goes,” “Daddy’s Home”), along with a handful of other
Jackson 5 singles. This isn’t quite as comprehensive a portrait as Universal’s previous
Anthology, but it’s entertaining and well-sequenced, a good alternative for anybody considering the single-disc Icon but wants more music.
