Rhino Flashback's Rascals collection Groovin' and Other Hits is a scattershot sampling of the band's singles with a strong album track or two tossed in. Because the collection only has two of the band's three number one singles ("Groovin'" and "People Got to Be Free," not "Good Lovin'") and misses quite a few of the biggest songs, it can't be considered essential or complete. There are other far better, not much more expensive hits collection that come closer to filling that bill. All this disc will give you is a vague but entertaining feel for what made the Rascals so great.
