This week starts the battle for ratings for reality singing competetions!!!

Let's face it there are to many reality singing shows to even keep track of! But the dual of the fall will pit The Voice and The X-Factor against each other for the first time in ratings. Yes American Idol will be there to, but considering how much trouble they are having just getting judges, they seem to be running late to the party.

So this leaves the door open for a new King of the ratings! And what a race it's looking to be, season one of The X Factor averaged 1.9 million viewers, making it the No. 1 new program on Canadian TV,  and season two of The Voice averaged 1.6 million! Huge numbers for sure, but both are facing a few problems; the rookie season of The X Factor fell short of Cowell's lofty predictions, and The Voice trended downward in the second half of its second season.... Solution??? Well the Voice is full of star appearances as "advisors" for the judging cast and new rules such as stealing other judges talent, while The X Factor has thrown Britney Spears in the mix to boost ratings!

So who's going to take the title?!? It's anybody's race, I'm just looking forward to sitting back and watching :)

I say X-Factor comes out on top :p
