This week...it's from a special contest "World's Ugliest Dog" - They do this every year at a fair in California.

I swear the winning dog isn't ugly! I think it's really cute! Check it out for yourself.

Gypsy Songs

When you think about it...every song ever written is unique, but sometimes, it's easy to find similarities in songs...

...And these are the types of things that run through my head when I'm trying to get to sleep at night! ;)

One similarity you'll find in country songs the use of the term "Gypsy" Which means:

"Persons of nomadic habit of life, whatever their race or origin, but does not include members of an organized group of travelling showmen, or persons engaged in travelling circuses, travelling together as such."

Terri Clarke even has a brand new song called Gypsy Boots!

If You Design Cars...Please Read!!

I'll start off by saying...I'm guilty of trying to use fancy words sometimes...cause they can sound pretty cool. If you can pull off using words like "existential" or "plebiscite" in a sentence and not come off as a total dork...good on ya!

But there's one that bothers me...and I'd like to explain to you why.

The WORST ONE out there flashes at you in the console of your car: "Door Ajar"

...So...car making people...whatta ya think!?

For Chapter 10, she's asked me to point out how I constantly remind her of every single minuscule house-hold chore I ever do.

So I randomly got this email/press release yesterday;

I'm not really sure what to think about it...but, I figured it was interesting, so I'd pass it along. Seems like a "stick it to the man" type of movement with the gas industry.

One of those "brothers and sisters...are you with me!?" things. It's a fight against gas prices. You can go on the website and sign up...if you wanted to. I didn't, but you could...

Canadian Consumers Fed Up With Prices at the Pump are Fighting Back With FuelTribe

 

June 15 - FuelTribe launches Canada's first and only gasoline buyers group, enabling consumers to join forces to battle unfair gas prices.

www.FuelTribe.ca is the product of ordinary working people, who grew frustrated by their lack of buying power with fuel vendors.  They realized that as long as they are treated individually by fuel vendors, they have little or no influence over the price of gasoline.

 

They believe that, if they were to approach a gasoline vendor as a group, their influence could not be ignored.  "FuelTribe.ca allows consumers to use their collective buying power to negotiate a price reduction in their gasoline purchase" said Morgan Archer, FuelTribe's Membership Director.  "The initial response has been overwhelming.  After launching earlier this month, we have surpassed $5.2 Million Dollars in annual buying power."

 

Using annual buying power as leverage, FuelTribe will represent members interests by negotiating a reasonable discount at the pump.  There is no cost to register.

;) - The wink is there, cause it might be a stretch...but as always, I believe this to be true in my heart.

These 2 songs don't sound the same, they're not alike in any way, other than they're done by 2 Canadian bands.

So the songs don't sound the same...but there is a similarity.

Both songs have talking in them...sort of in the background...and that talking sounds the same. Clear as mud, right!?

For Chapter 8...maybe it's the same in your house? I always try and get out of answering the phone and it drives her nuts!

Chapter 8 - The Phone

...Darren The Waving Goat!

It's pretty self explanatory. This Goat's name is Darren and unlike many Goats...he waves at people. I remember at my uncles farm as a kid, there was a Goat that chased us...there was even one that seemed to respond to his name "Chomper"

But no Goats that waved.

Check out his trick! Apparently...he's a big sensation on the Internet.

So on Friday, my wife and I are watching Ellen, while having supper...as usual. Kellie Pickler was on the show, she sang good...but for me there's nothing quite like a Kellie Pickler interview, you know!?

If you didn't catch the show...watch this clip...then ask yourself this question:

Monster Slop

It's not the prettiest sounding name...but food doesn't have to be pretty to taste good!

I was watching Diners, Drive Ins and Dives one afternoon on the Food Network...that was the first time I saw it. For too many years I'd been working so hard to cook my breakfast separately...one pan for the eggs, another for the bacon, hash-browns...you know.

NOT ANYMORE!

Now I'm all about the Monster Slop!

Here's what you do:

-Take a dozen eggs and all the things you like to put in an omelet and mix them in a bowl. I like a little cheese, with green and red peppers, some onion and (secret ingredient) some salsa ranch dressing.

-Now take the other breakfast stuff...like bacon and hashbrowns and throw them in too. I cook them a little first.

-Grab a big cookie sheet...and dump all this goodness in the sheet...mix it up, so it covers the whole sheet. Make sure there's an even meat distribution over the sheet.

-Now...throw that bad boy in the oven for a while to cook...if the smoke detector goes off, you've cooked it for too long.

When it's done...it should look like this! You could make a batch of slop on Sunday morning for the family, or cook a whole batch and eat it for a few days.

It's like Frankenstein's breakfast...MONSTER SLOP!

For Chapter 7...I'm talking about me (almost) never putting my coats away, like I should.

Chapter 7 - "The Coat Chair"

Toby Keith is a Man.

I visited the doctor once...and he diagnosed me with a "Machismo Deficiency" - So I'm forced to live vicariously through real men. Hockey Players, Professional Wrestlers, Lumberjacks...you get the idea.

I saw this picture the other day and I was like...

"Woah...Toby Keith is totally manly"

Check him out! Carrying that thing over his shoulder like it's a kids nap-sack filled with notebooks and pencil crayons!

I don't know how much it weighs...but it looks impressive.

2 More Songs That Sound The Same

...Not that there's anything wrong with that!

I think both of these songs are awesome in their own right...but when you listen to them, you can find the similarities...and if you were a complete dork...you could even mix them together to sound like one song.

You know...if you wanted to.

Since I don't lead a very exciting life...this made me jump up and down the first time I saw it.

My wife actually called me at work to tell me about it...but words couldn't express the marvel of the newest TV gadget!
