...I'm on the radio?!

If I can be serious for a minute...

I was always interested in radio, cause my dad is in radio. I grew up with people talking to me about things my dad had said that morning...I'd get asked at school "so are you the one who got his ear pierced?" - stuff like that. It was normal for me...What? Your dad doesn't do the morning show for a living?

I think back to when I was probably 10-12 years old...I'd play Nintendo 64 in the basement and listen to the radio. For the record, at the time, the station was called Power 107 and they played top 40 music...I recall alot of Will Smith and Smashmouth. I remember thinking for the first time..."Man, those DJ's are SO cool!" I think that's when I decided, someday, I'm gonna do that. I'm gonna be on the radio...I'm gonna get jiggy with it!

Then the other day...I have this epiphany.

I'm that guy...that's my job. Yep, I'm on the radio.

It's not like I've been on the air for a REALLY long time or anything, but for the first time...I realized that I'm doing it, I'm living my dream and I didn't even realize it. 

I must have blinked...

Kenny Chesney would be so mad. He told me not to.
