How long have you been in radio: since 2003

Why did you get into radio: It's the closest thing to being in the music biz, but with a real job!  There's nothing cooler than playing around in your own studio with the music cranked!

Favourite Big Dog 92-7 Artists: Brad Paisley, Johnny Cash, Miranda Lambert, Trace Adkins, Corb Lund, Johnny Reid...

What's your ideal perfect vacation: Cottage at the lake!  Boats, canoes, Maclays...

Do you play any musical instruments - which ones? And if not, which one would you like to learn to play:  I'm mainly a drummer, but I've played piano for years.  I've been in a bunch of bands playing any and every kind of music.  Wanna jam?

What's your favourite thing about Southern Saskatchewan:  It's incredibly friendly, and the accents make me feel at home.  Yes, the accents... kind of like "Western Canadian" meets "Ontario back woods." I love it!

Venturing from the small town of Carleton Place in the Ottawa Valley, Andrew had a very musical childhood with countless bands, performances, and even a homemade drum set made out of boxes.  Then, after high school where he ran a makeshift radio station in the cafeteria, he decided to dive into the real world of radio by shipping off to Fanshawe College’s Radio Broadcasting program in London, ON.   After filling the roles of producer and evening host at Astral Media Radio’s country station there, Andrew brings his fiancee Ashley, beagle Ralph, "Lanark County twang," and country roots to Saturday nights on Big Dog 92-7!
