I'll admit it...I have a problem
Fri, 2008-10-10 10:39.
Hi everyone, my name is Tia and I'm a pumpkin-pie-aholic.
It's true. I have been from a very young age. There's no denying it anymore. And it's getting harder and harder to resist the temptation. Every time I walk into the Safeway in the Cathedral area, the first display that greets me at the door is pies. I wince, lower my head, and carry on past them, but find myself circling back around eventually.
CCMA Bound

This weekend I'll be hanging out and hob-knobbing in Winnipeg at the Canadian Country Music Awards. I'm incredibly excited for many reasons, including the chance to visit a city I've never been to before. It's also a great chance to catch up with people and friends from all over the country, that you maybe get to see once a year, if that!
White Thingies

Remember being back in school and using reinforcements to patch together all the ripped papers coming out of your binders off the rings, or just sticking them on your face and being the class clown? I was in the studio the other day playing with reinforcements and it reminded me how fun back to school supplies time was! There was reinforcements, rulers, compass sets, binders, loose-leaf, erasers, your HP #2 pencils, highlighters, and who could forget pencil crayons?! In fact, without a word of a lie, I have a pack of my pencil crayons from high school still.
Taking Me Back
Fri, 2008-08-01 10:11.
Here we are amidst the hustle and bustle of the 125th Buffalo Days. And although not originally from Regina, the event brings back fond childhood memories for me. I'm actually Saskatchewan-born, and out in Maple Creek, Buffalo Days was a great reason to make a trip to the Queen City while you were on your summer holidays.
Suds in the Bucket

So day #1 of the main stage acts at Craven, and despite the weather, I'm in my bliss. On my wishlist of singers I was dying to see this year, Sara Evans was right at the very top. I'm maybe one of the few people who owns her very first cd called "Three Chords & the Truth", which although commercially unsuccessful, was hailed by the critics as an amazing cd.
Saltimbanco!
Sat, 2008-07-05 08:27.
Last night I put away my rubber boots and plaid shirt and went out for an evening of gettin' me some culture! Cirque de Soleil is in Regina with their "Saltimbanco" through Sunday. I expected it to be different than anything I've seen before, but it truly was beyond all expectations.
A Sad Day
Mon, 2008-06-30 09:27.
This past Friday just after 11am, Daniel Hurtubise and his children Sonya and Alex joined us as special guests in the Doghouse, as they're JDRF Ride of a Lifetime rolled into the Queen City. Despite the rainy day, they were all so full of life, smiles, and genuine gratefulness for all the support they've received on their journey to raise awareness and funds for Diabetes research.
Downside to having pets
Mon, 2008-06-02 18:30.
When I was 19, I worked at a pet store while I was going to college. A family had brought in an abandoned litter of kittens whose mother had been run over. The smallest of the litter was this little white fur-ball with black patches that I fell in love with and took home to become my little Cassie, who as my sister would tell you, was definitely my cat, and only my cat. Yes, Cassie was a bit of a diva you could say. But we literally grew up together.
Moments

On Saturday I was shopping down at Cornwall and walking back to my car parked up on Scarth street. As I was getting closer, I saw a lost soul of a young lady who seemed to be a victim of hard times. She was a mess, unhealthy looking, in a daze. I got into my car, was looking in my ashtray, and then next thing I know, she's standing there knocking on my window. She scared the HECK outta me, and I reacted that way, jumping in my seat and I can only imagine the look on my face. But my fearful reaction caught her off guard and she quickly turned away and left.
Croc Say it Ain't So
Fri, 2008-05-09 11:30.
The ever changing strength of trends and fads is resulting in the changing of guard, and it truly saddens me. Stock shares recently tumbled for Crocs, they closed down the Crocs plant in Quebec, and shoe stores are saying the end is near for the one time popular footware. I bought my Croc flip flops back in the summer of 2004. Since then, they've travelled with me for walks on the beach as far away as both Corpus Christie and South Padre Island. I've trusted them like I would a super-hero, even falling down a hill one time thinking they were good for hiking. Turns out they're not, but I had that much confidence in them. Last year after having surgery on my foot, they were the first footware I felt good wearing after my boot cast came off. And recently having just moved into a home where I have laminate flooring, I love wearing them around the house like slippers. Some people despise Crocs! There's even Facebook groups devoted to people who are Anti-Croc-ers. And that's ok. To each their own. I guess if there's an upside to the story it might be... Now's a really good time to get Crocs on sale! Lol.
How Sweet It Is
Mon, 2008-04-21 19:48.
Well here we are at another Earth Day. This year I have a new perspective on it thanks to a friend of mine from Toronto. She was here in Regina in September for the CCMA's. She had never been to Regina before, or Saskatchewan, or the prairies even.
Taylor Swift was the top-selling music act across all formats in 2008. The 19-year-old singer sold more than 1,597,000 copies of 2007's
